Newent Park – Care Home

Unlocking opportunity through planning

Located on Gloucester Street in Newent, this scheme reflects MF Freeman Group’s ability to identify development opportunities and bring them forward through the planning process, creating value and enabling high-quality delivery by others.

Working within the context of Newent Park, proposals were developed for a 60-bedroom care home designed to meet growing demand for later living provision in the area. The scheme was carefully considered to balance practical care requirements with a comfortable and well-connected living environment.

A proposal shaped around everyday living

The planned care home incorporated a range of features to support both resident wellbeing and daily life. Multiple lounges were designed to provide flexible spaces for relaxation and social interaction, offering residents a choice of environments throughout the day.

A dedicated hairdressing salon was also included within the proposals, recognising the importance of routine, personal care and maintaining a sense of independence. These elements were considered alongside the overall layout to ensure a setting that felt both practical and welcoming.

From planning to delivery

Planning consent was successfully secured, establishing a clear and deliverable scheme for the site. Following this, the development site was sold.
